FOREWORD
An Excerpt of the Foreword
All that we need to live a successful Christian life, honouring to the Lord, is found in the Scriptures. Psalm 32:8 says: “I [God] will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” The Rev. Jack Sin has a special gift in applying the Word of God to the things encountered by believers in their daily lives, and in bringing out many practical truths found in its pages, ... ...
As this book is being published, the entire world is suffering under the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nearly every country on our planet has been affected. Many have succumbed to this severe illness, thousands upon thousands have died, millions have lost their jobs, and major economic upheavals are being experienced, to name just a few of the repercussions. It is during these times that that we must rejoice in the sovereignty and love of Almighty God.
We as believers can take comfort in the fact that: “God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). The very words of God, as recorded by the Prophet Isaiah in chapter 41, verse 10, of his Book, are a comfort to us all: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
Pastor Sin is a seasoned pastor, missionary and writer, who has spent many years studying the Word of God. I trust you will be blessed with the many Biblical insights he sets forth in this book!

A BOOK REVIEW BY PASTOR BABU,
NEW COVENANT BPCI
All over the world 2020 was a difficult year for many. Some people lost their loved ones and some people lost their jobs, business or their livelihood. The whole world was filled with fear and distress because of the possible spread of Covid-19 throughout the year. However, the Christian perspective is totally different from the worldly view as we noted in the content of this book as “we walk by faith not by sight” (2 Cor 5:7).
I’d like to thank God for the laudable efforts of Rev Jack & Mrs Angie Sin and for their timely exhortation to counsel, comfort and encourage the brethren throughout the world by writing this book called “The Christian Perspective of the Coronavirus Pandemic and Biblically related themes examined which is relevant for all of us. I have learned some important lessons by reading this book from a Biblical perspective and here are some of them as given below.
“Rev. Jack Sin is well-known for carefully listening to Scripture and sharing his insights with so many inside and outside the church. This book allows us to learn even more from his insights into biblical theology, the theology and history of the reformation and the confessions of the church and how this all relates to present day issues. The 2020 pandemic confronts the whole world with deep problems and in fact with the real problem of humanity. In this book Rev. Sin puts this in biblical and historical perspective and shows that only the God of the Bible can help us.”

REVIEWER COMMENTS
“I am really honoured and benefitted from reading your work before publication. The readings impacted me in 2 ways; to gain understanding of the current situation and more importantly spur me to ask pertinent questions and seek further. The current pandemic is really unique and many ask "why" and stop there. This led to murmuring, blaming, discontent and disillusionment. It is important that we see God's hands in all the uncertainties and have faith in God. After all, faith is from the heart, not the eyes.
Thanks again for allowing me to benefit from your writings.”

FROM OUR READERS
Thank you for your book on, Christian perspective of COVID19 pandemic and biblically related themes. I like to congratulate you for a masterful appraisal of challenges faced by the Christian family amid the COVID 19 Outbreak. This book could not have been more timely. As the world reels from the impact of the Pandemic, this book comes in handy, as a helpful biblically sound compendium to guide believers to cope with the current ‘new normal’. Not only is it thoroughly Biblical and Reformed in content, it also provides wise and deep insights into the application of God’s timeless and unchanging truth to an everchanging world. It is a recommended read not just for the laity but also for pastors."

Thank you for the book on the Christian Perspective of the Pandemic plus your church weekly and the 2 Chinese tracts. I thank the Lord for the preaching from Isaiah too, Sunday's sermons. I am so grateful for the Word of God that we so desperately need now more than ever. I've shared it with my brother in KL too.
